Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician Assistant 2 plays a critical role in the processing and handling of specimens, ensuring that all procedures are carried out with precision and care. This position involves accessioning tasks, sample collection through venipuncture and capillary methods, and maintaining clear communication within the team.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and manage specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Perform accessioning duties to ensure proper tracking of samples.
- Utilize venipuncture and capillary techniques for specimen collection.
- Prepare 24-hour urine containers according to established protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or as a phlebotomist.
