Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician – Media Preparation is responsible for the formulation and preparation of media utilized in various laboratory processes. This role is vital for ensuring that all media complies with required specifications and is prepared efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Formulate, prepare, and sterilize a wide range of laboratory media, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment used in media preparation.
- Document media preparation procedures and outcomes meticulously.
- Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to meet media requirements for various experiments.
- Ensure all safety protocols and standards are strictly followed in the laboratory environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in laboratory settings, specifically related to media preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety regulations and practices.
