Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organized laundry processes within the facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that linens, uniforms, and other textile items are properly cleaned and presented to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, and iron various items.
- Sort and categorize items based on fabric type and cleaning requirements.
- Monitor and maintain performance of machines, reporting any malfunctions as needed.
- Ensure that cleanliness and safety standards are upheld in the laundry area.
- Handle and store laundry chemicals and supplies according to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a laundry facility or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy loads consistently.
