Job Summary
The Laundry Aide is responsible for handling various laundry tasks, including the collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens and personal items. The role involves safe operation of laundry machinery while ensuring cleanliness and adhering to infection control standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect and sort linens and personal clothing for washing.
- Operate laundry equipment in a safe manner.
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry efficiently.
- Distribute clean items to residents, staff, and guests.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry activities.
- Follow established infection control procedures.
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Provide excellent service to all individuals in the facility.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in laundry work is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must follow oral and written instructions accurately.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Physical capabilities to meet job demands are essential.
- Able to work in proximity to cleaning chemicals.
- Must reside within the designated service area.
