Job Summary
The Laundry Worker is responsible for the efficient processing of laundry items, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with organizational standards. This role includes washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens and garments, while adhering to safety and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers, following prescribed procedures for laundry processing.
- Sort and categorize items based on fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
- Apply appropriate detergents and chemicals based on laundering guidelines.
- Inspect garments and linens for damages and report any issues.
- Iron and fold clean laundry items for proper presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in laundry services or similar environments preferred.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
