The Lead Medical Lab Scientist processes and tests laboratory specimens while performing advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation. They also provide direction to laboratory staff, oversee regulatory compliance, and manage quality assurance and control protocols. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or an equivalent qualification as defined by CLIA regulations. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical technologist in an acute care facility is required, along with relevant professional certification.
