Job Summary
The Lead Respiratory Therapist is responsible for overseeing and directing respiratory care services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves coordinating the daily operations of the respiratory therapy department, mentoring staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide respiratory therapists in providing patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and institutional policies.
- Monitor departmental performance and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education and training to staff and patients regarding respiratory care.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with leadership experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of respiratory care practices and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
