Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing basic nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. LPNs are responsible for promoting patient well-being and ensuring patient comfort in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and health status.
- Assist with daily living activities and provide personal care to patients.
- Communicate with patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure effective patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a healthcare team.
