Job Summary
The Staff Nurse is primarily responsible for delivering professional nursing care within a residential facility. This includes administering medications, observing and recording patient progress, and aiding patients in their daily living tasks.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and ensure proper dosage and timing.
- Monitor patient health and document any changes in their condition.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living to promote independence.
- Provide emergency first-aid when necessary.
- Employ de-escalation techniques effectively during patient behavioral incidents.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid and clear California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- Possess a valid driver’s license for transportation as required.
- Ability to conduct physical tasks, including transferring patients weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Complete necessary pre-employment health assessments and background checks.
