Job Summary
The Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering professional nursing services at a residential facility, which encompasses a range of patient care tasks including medication administration, tracking patient health progress, and aiding individuals with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients while ensuring safety and compliance.
- Monitor and assess patient progress regularly to identify changes in health status.
- Assist patients with their daily living activities to promote independence.
- Document all aspects of patient care meticulously for accurate record-keeping.
- Provide emergency first aid when necessary.
- Employ de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid and current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to perform physical demands such as transferring patients effectively.
- Capability to work independently within a residential care environment.
