Job Summary
The Licensed Vocational Nurse plays a vital role in delivering direct care to patients, which encompasses the administration of medications and the monitoring of vital signs, all under the guidance of registered nurses (RNs) or physicians. This position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate the implementation of individualized care plans and the execution of standard medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients as per physician and RN directives.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerns to the supervising RN or physician.
- Work together with the healthcare team to carry out care plans effectively.
- Perform routine medical procedures as needed to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
Qualifications
- Graduates must have completed a program from an accredited school of nursing.
- A valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license is required.
- Newly graduated nurses are encouraged to apply for this position.
