Local Med Surg Nurse
Akron, OH
Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM – 7 AM (36 hours/week)
Weekly Gross: $2016
Job Overview:
We are on the lookout for a skilled Med Surg Nurse to become a part of our team at the Akron facility. The preferred candidate should possess experience in caring for geriatric patients. Our unit caters to individuals with acute inpatient care requirements while also managing overflow from medical or surgical patients, with an emphasis on age-friendly practices.
Unit Details:
- 28-bed Med-Surg unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:6
- Floating to other units may be necessary as required
- Caring for patients with diverse diagnoses including DIG, UTI, trauma, infections, CHF, and pneumonia
- Variable levels of care tailored for geriatric patients
Qualifications:
- Education: BSN is mandatory, must possess an accredited nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE.
- At least 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
- ACLS/BLS and NIH Certification are essential
- Recent experience with Epic within the past 12 months
