Job Summary
The SPD Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the department’s operations by ensuring the effective handling of service requests, inventory management, and equipment preparation. This position is vital for maintaining the standards of safety and efficiency within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Support staff by organizing and maintaining inventory levels of supplies.
- Fulfill service requests by coordinating the delivery and setup of necessary equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to optimize workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in a relevant field is a plus.
- Experience in a healthcare or sterile processing environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization processes is beneficial.
