Job Summary
The Surgical Support Team Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the surgical support team, ensuring that all operations are performed efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible for coordinating activities, enhancing team performance, and maintaining high standards of patient care within the surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the surgical support staff, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Coordinate the scheduling of surgical procedures and ensure availability of necessary resources.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements in the operating room.
- Facilitate communication between surgical teams and other departments to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in staff training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a surgical setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures and associated safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certification or degree in surgical technology or a related field is preferred.
