Job Summary
The Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant (CNA/MA) plays a crucial role in providing support and care for residents in a long-term care facility. This position involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for those in need of consistent care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Aid with feeding and ensure residents receive proper nutrition.
- Assist in mobility and transport of residents as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident areas.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures to promote infection control.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate attitude and dedication to providing high-quality care.
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is desirable.
