Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to residents. This includes administering medications, performing wound care, and ensuring precise clinical documentation. The LPN is also responsible for guiding and supporting the nursing staff while working closely with physicians and the broader interdisciplinary team to effectively meet the needs of residents.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care, focusing on the needs and wellbeing of residents.
- Administer medications and manage wound treatments as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Lead and mentor nursing staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to address resident care needs.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Experience in medication administration and understanding of medical nursing practices is essential.
- Previous experience in charge nursing or within long-term care environments is preferred.
