Job Summary
The position of Machine Operator in Extrusion at Samtec, Inc. is designated for the night shift, where the selected candidate will be integral to our cable production facility located in Wilsonville, Oregon. This role involves working three twelve-hour shifts from Sunday to Tuesday, playing a crucial part in our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate extrusion machinery effectively during the night shift to ensure seamless production flow.
- Monitor equipment and production standards to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve any operational challenges that may arise.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to adhere to operational standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a machine operator in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills to effectively address workplace challenges.
- Ability to work diligently during night shifts and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and operational procedures in manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills to interact efficiently with team members and management.
