Job Summary
The Manager, Mechanical Engineering – Flight Support Equipment is responsible for overseeing the management of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment. This role is integral to ensuring adherence to media policies, processes, and lifecycle principles essential for high-quality engineering applications. The manager will lead a dedicated team of approximately 8 engineers, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of Ground Support Equipment.
- Manage media policy compliance and contribute to process improvements.
- Develop and implement lifecycle strategies for equipment management.
- Lead a team of engineers in the design and maintenance of fixtures, thermal chambers, and electrical integration tasks.
- Ensure effective testing and operations of ground support equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with flight support or ground support systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- In-depth knowledge of equipment lifecycle management and process implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
