Job Summary
The role involves supervising shift production functions and personnel to achieve set production goals and departmental objectives concerning productivity, financial results, quality, service, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations and team members to ensure production targets are met.
- Conduct employee training and facilitate performance development to enhance team capabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate process performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to the 6S methodology for maintaining organized and efficient work areas.
- Investigate safety and quality concerns, employing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations or research and development.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role.
- A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related life science field is preferred.
