Job Summary
The Marine Structural Engineer position is based in Portland, Oregon, and offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually. This full-time role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including naval architects, mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure the successful development and implementation of marine structural projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with naval architects and mechanical engineers to design and analyze marine structures.
- Engage with project managers to track project progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain communications with clients regarding project requirements and updates.
- Develop innovative engineering solutions for marine infrastructure challenges.
- Conduct structural assessments and prepare technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a focus on Marine Engineering preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate engineering designs and assessments.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to marine structures.
- Proficiency in software applications relevant to structural engineering and design.
