Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within a warehouse or production facility. This role ensures that all materials are handled safely and efficiently to support operations and maintain inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute material handling activities to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move products.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and material movements.
- Perform regular inspections of material handling equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
- Assist in organizing and optimizing storage layouts for efficient operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience in material handling or warehousing is preferred.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management tasks.
