Job Summary
The Materials Manager is responsible for the oversight of the procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies within a healthcare setting. This role also involves managing vendor partnerships and ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the generation of purchase orders for medical supplies.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of inventory records.
- Organize and maintain safety at the facility’s receiving dock and storerooms.
- Manage relationships with vendors to facilitate supply procurement.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet facility needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Proficient in EDI processes.
- Basic understanding of medical supplies.
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
