Materials Testing Technician (Senior-Level)

Job description

Job Summary

The Senior Materials Testing Technician will play a crucial role in conducting tests and evaluating materials used in various projects. This position requires expertise in material properties, testing methods, and engineering standards to ensure compliance and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of tests to assess the physical and chemical properties of materials.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results and findings.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure material specifications meet project requirements.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment regularly, ensuring accuracy and reliability in results.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in testing procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in materials testing, particularly in construction or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using testing instruments and laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
