The mechanic will be tasked with conducting routine preventative maintenance and ensuring compliance with DOT inspection standards for commercial trucks and fleet vehicles. Additionally, they will be responsible for keeping precise service records and maintaining a clean work environment along with managing inventory levels. Applicants should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in preventative maintenance specifically for heavy-duty vehicles, along with a solid knowledge of diesel and hydraulic systems. A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is necessary, and having a CDL is advantageous.
