Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals by executing various clinical duties, which include measuring vital signs, giving injections, and performing diagnostic examinations. This position is essential for maintaining efficient patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Take and record patients’ vital signs accurately.
- Administer injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and assist with other clinical procedures.
- Maintain and update patient records in a timely manner.
- Sanitize and prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is mandatory.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
- At least 3 years of experience working in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
