Job description
The Medical Assistant is responsible for conducting preliminary intake assessments, tracking vital statistics, and ensuring that examination spaces are kept in order within a correctional setting. They support tasks related to medication documentation, collect lab specimens, and carry out various administrative responsibilities under the guidance of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Applicants are required to have an active Medical Assistant Certification and display strong communication and administrative abilities. This position demands proficiency in multitasking, conducting patient evaluations, and upholding confidentiality in a dynamic work environment.
