Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering both clinical and administrative assistance within healthcare settings. This position supports healthcare providers by performing essential tasks related to patient care and office management.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers by preparing exam rooms and rooming patients.
- Measure and record patients’ vital signs consistently and accurately.
- Conduct point-of-care lab tests as needed to assist in patient assessment.
- Maintain and organize patient charts to ensure up-to-date information.
- Manage appointment scheduling to facilitate patient flow.
- Ensure that all areas comply with safety and cleanliness standards for patient care.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess or be in the process of obtaining CCMA or CMA (AAMA) certification.
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Relevant training in medical assistance or demonstrable experience under supervision is required.
