Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and nursing leadership by carrying out various clinical and administrative duties to facilitate effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients as they arrive.
- Document patient medical histories accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs for patients.
- Assist healthcare professionals during medical exams and procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. is essential.
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program that includes a clinical externship or equivalent clinical experience is required.
- A current BLS-C certification must be obtained prior to employment or completed by the end of the orientation period.
