Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for the delivery, setup, and maintenance of respiratory and home medical devices, while also providing guidance to patients and caregivers on their safe operation. This role emphasizes patient assessments, addressing equipment malfunctions, and adhering to safety protocols and confidentiality standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and set up respiratory and home medical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Educate patients and caregivers on the safe usage of medical equipment.
- Conduct assessments of patients to determine their equipment needs.
- Respond promptly to any equipment-related issues reported by patients.
- Ensure adherence to safety and confidentiality regulations within operations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is necessary.
- Experience within the healthcare sector or in roles involving field service or delivery is preferred.
- A valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required to perform job duties.
