Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in the healthcare sector by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of medical equipment to various facilities and patients’ homes. This position requires a dedicated individual who can navigate effectively while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Transport medical equipment to specified locations, including hospitals and patient residences.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and ensure equipment is in suitable condition.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment from the delivery vehicle.
- Maintain effective communication with the logistics team and healthcare staff.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies during deliveries.
- Keep records of deliveries and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the process.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role is advantageous.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment safely.
