Job Summary
The role of the Medical Lab Scientist involves the utilization of advanced laboratory technologies to conduct analyses on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids, ensuring precise diagnostics for various diseases. This position demands a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with healthcare providers to relay essential test results.
Responsibilities
- Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment for the analysis of biological samples.
- Ensure quality control processes are adhered to and maintain the accuracy of results.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure functionality.
- Communicate critical laboratory findings promptly to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 18 months of practical experience in a laboratory setting.
- Certification from a recognized organization, such as the ASCP or AMT.
