Job Summary
The Mental Health Technician plays a crucial role in supporting adolescents within a residential treatment facility by coordinating client activities and ensuring their safety. This position involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with clinical teams to foster a conducive therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily activities for clients to promote engagement and well-being.
- Ensure the safety of adolescents in the treatment setting.
- Provide direct support and assistance to clients as needed.
- Work in partnership with clinical staff to observe and document client behavior.
- Monitor medication administration and adherence to prescribed regimens.
- Maintain a clean and therapeutic environment conducive to healing.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Candidates must successfully complete background checks.
- A valid driver’s license that meets specific insurance requirements is mandatory.
