Job Summary
The Mohs Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting physicians during surgical operations, ensuring accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical records system (EMR), and preparing clinical specimens for analysis. This position demands a proactive individual who can uphold a sterile environment and uphold high standards in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during various surgical procedures.
- Manage and organize patient documentation within the EMR system.
- Prepare clinical specimens for laboratory use and testing.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in exam rooms.
- Provide comprehensive patient education regarding procedures and care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced medical setting.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration within a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- Experience with Modernizing Medicine software is an advantage.
