Job Summary
The MRI Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, responsible for executing magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This position demands a high level of technical proficiency, ensuring that quality images are captured for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Additionally, the technologist is expected to maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients correctly for MRI scans.
- Operate MRI equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images as per physician’s specifications.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine checks to ensure functionality.
- Document and record patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program.
- Certification in MRI technology.
- Strong understanding of imaging principles and patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
