Job Summary
The role of the MRI Technologist involves the operation of MRI machines to create precise diagnostic images for analysis by radiologists, all while prioritizing the safety and comfort of patients throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for MRI examinations.
- Administer contrast media as necessary.
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of MRI equipment.
- Record procedural details accurately within healthcare information systems.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current certification or eligibility for ARRT(MR) certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology and sterile techniques.
