Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting physicians by providing assistance during patient examinations and documenting essential patient information in the electronic health records system. This position involves various clinical tasks to enhance patient care and ensure operational efficiency within the medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient exams.
- Record vital signs and document patient medical histories in the electronic health record system.
- Administer medications as required and manage referrals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the clinical facility.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Hold a valid certification or registration from an approved medical organization.
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Epic software is preferred.
