Job Summary
The Non-CDL Box Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials using a box truck. This role involves ensuring timely delivery while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining the vehicle in good working order.
Responsibilities
- Operate a non-CDL box truck for deliveries and pickups of various goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo securely to prevent damage during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status.
- Follow company policies and safety regulations throughout the delivery process.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Experience driving a box truck preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of local roads and delivery routes is an advantage.
