Northeast Sales Account Manager
Remote – Travel
$60 – $80k
The Northeast Sales Account Manager will be instrumental in boosting regional revenue by implementing a targeted sales strategy aimed at residential installation markets via distributors and sales representatives. This position is responsible for nurturing robust customer relationships, coaching and supporting channel partners, and uncovering new business opportunities alongside expanding existing accounts. Responsibilities also include providing onsite project assistance, conducting market analysis, and delivering regular reporting, necessitating substantial regional travel to engage with customers and partners.
Northeast Sales Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement a sales strategy for regional installations to enhance revenue through sales partners and residential distribution networks.
- Collaborate with regional sales leadership to monitor and assist sales partners, ensuring alignment with performance and value objectives. This includes setting goals, evaluating performance, and providing continuous coaching.
- Sustain a comprehensive understanding of installation-related products and services, and effectively convey this knowledge to customers, distributors, and sales partners.
- Utilize insights from regional residential installation and construction projects to enhance sales initiatives.
- Forge strong relationships with key clients and prospective customers through consistent interaction, site visits, and needs assessments to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Meet business growth targets by establishing new accounts, deepening relationships with existing clients, and introducing innovative products in designated territories and target markets.
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and product evaluations as necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working on active construction sites and have a strong commitment to safety practices.
- Develop comprehensive proposals and technical documentation; design and deliver impactful sales presentations; conduct customer meetings; and showcase product capabilities confidently and enthusiastically.
- Provide thorough reports on sales activities, pricing strategies, results, and projections, while actively communicating challenges and suggesting innovative solutions to management.
- Conduct market research to uncover sales opportunities and evaluate client needs, including tracking market trends, competitor moves, and new products or services.
- Contribute to success within the residential installation sector by leveraging industry networks, identifying and establishing key partnerships throughout the value chain, and aligning efforts with distributors, sales partners, and internal support teams.
- Travel extensively across the U.S. and Canada (approximately 60%).
Northeast Sales Account Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required.
- At least two years of business-to-business sales experience in the construction or related fields, with a strong technical understanding of construction processes.
- Proven knowledge of sales methodologies and the complete sales cycle.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret sales data and convert insights into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated capability to inspire and lead sales partners and distribution networks.
- Results-oriented, with a proven history of meeting or surpassing goals.
- Ability to clearly explain product value propositions and distinguish offerings from competitors.
- Comfortable with remote work, possessing strong self-motivation, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficient with PC applications including CRM platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Capable of thriving in a high-paced, multi-tasking environment while exhibiting urgency and accountability.
