Job Summary
The Building Commissioning Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of building systems to ensure they meet the intended performance criteria. This role necessitates strong project management skills, technical knowledge in building systems, and a commitment to ensuring high-quality outcomes for projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning efforts for building projects from initiation through completion.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design and performance specifications are met.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, including establishing project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct functional testing, inspections, and system evaluations to confirm operational readiness.
- Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Train clients and building operators on system operation and maintenance post-commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in building commissioning or project management within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving capabilities.
