Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our expanding Breast Surgery team at Geisinger Medical Center located in Danville, Pennsylvania. This role is crucial to providing exceptional surgical care in the field of breast health.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the breast surgery department.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures, evaluations, and treatments related to breast conditions.
- Educate patients about their conditions and manage their post-operative care.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and care plans.
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Previous experience in surgical settings, particularly in breast health, is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
