Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team in Charleston, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing high-quality care in emergency settings and will play a crucial role in delivering urgent medical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare assessments and create treatment plans for patients in emergency situations.
- Conduct examinations and assess the need for examinations, radiological, and laboratory tests.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and respond to medical emergencies effectively.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and ongoing care.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in emergency medicine or a similar fast-paced healthcare environment is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
