Job Summary
The position available is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within the Inpatient Medicine department at Boston Children’s Hospital. This role is part-time and may include regular, temporary, or per diem shifts, amounting to an average of 36 hours per week. The successful candidate will be stationed onsite in Boston, Massachusetts, and will contribute to providing high-quality pediatric care in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to pediatric inpatients, ensuring their health and wellbeing during hospitalization.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients’ medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by supervising physicians.
- Provide educational support to patients and their families about health management and treatment processes.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Relevant clinical experience in pediatric inpatient medicine is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patient engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
