Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing direct patient care within the emergency department. This role involves a variety of clinical responsibilities aimed at ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations of patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform patient care.
- Establish and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Work alongside attending physicians to make decisions regarding patient disposition.
- Engage in educational activities for staff and participate in initiatives focused on quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active licensure in Alabama.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
