Job Summary
The Operating Room Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the surgical team by ensuring that the operating room is prepared and maintained effectively. This position is vital for facilitating seamless patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform room turnover to prepare the operating space for subsequent surgeries.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Manage inventory levels and restock necessary supplies to ensure availability.
- Assist in setting up equipment to guarantee a smooth workflow during procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory for this role.
- Prior experience in an operating room environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with sterile techniques and medical terminology is advantageous.
