Job Summary
The Ophthalmic Technician supports patient operations and aids the Ophthalmologist by conducting initial assessments and logging medical information. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient patient care as well as maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of exam rooms.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the patient flow within the ophthalmology practice.
- Assist the Ophthalmologist in executing preliminary tests and gathering medical data.
- Oversee the upkeep of examination rooms to ensure a tidy and professional environment.
- Document patient visits accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Minimum of one year of experience or training in a related field.
- Proficient in customer service, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills are essential for documentation and communication.
