Job Summary
The Optician plays a crucial role in fitting and dispensing eyewear and educating patients about the proper care and upkeep of their lenses. In addition, this position demands the maintenance of precise patient records, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations, and performing laboratory tasks as required.
Responsibilities
- Fit and dispense eyewear to patients based on their prescriptions.
- Provide education to patients regarding lens care and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform laboratory tasks as necessary to support optical functions.
Qualifications
- Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with patients.
- Experience in sales or optical services is preferred, though training will be offered.
- Professional demeanor to ensure positive patient experiences in a clinical environment.
