Job Summary
The Optometric Technician plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of patient care by conducting initial examinations and managing patient documentation. This position also involves maintaining the office environment and contributing to various procedures, including promoting retinal screenings and conducting visual field tests.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary examinations of patients to gather essential data.
- Manage and organize patient records accurately.
- Ensure the office and pretest rooms are well-maintained and orderly.
- Assist in promoting and facilitating retinal screenings and visual field tests.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with patients.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage tasks efficiently.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn optical terminology and concepts.
- Retail or optical experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
