Job Summary
The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive vision assessments, performing refractions, and prescribing appropriate corrective lenses specifically for students in underserved communities. This position plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional clinical care through a mobile service unit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vision evaluations and refractions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses tailored to individual student needs.
- Accurately document patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality clinical care while operating within a mobile unit.
- Travel across the greater Sumter County area to reach underserved students.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid South Carolina Optometry license.
- Doctorate degree in optometry is required.
- Ability to commute effectively within the specified area.
- Successful completion of background and drug screening processes.
