Job Summary
UAB St. Vincent’s is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join the Main Operating Room (OR). This role is crucial in ensuring that surgical procedures are carried out safely and efficiently by providing essential support during operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the sterile setup of the operating field.
- Pass instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients prior to surgical intervention.
- Maintain accurate instrument counts to safeguard against retained surgical items.
Qualifications
- Certification or training as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Experience in an operating room environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
