Job Summary
NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is currently looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist OR to provide essential support in the Operating Room. This role involves scrubbing in on all surgical procedures, collaborating closely with physicians, and ensuring a sterile environment to uphold patient safety throughout surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons by preparing and organizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field, ensuring that all protocols related to cleanliness and infection control are meticulously followed.
- Support the surgical team in various capacities during operations, from setup to cleanup.
- Monitor the condition of instruments and supplies to guarantee that all are available and in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in an operating room setting.
- A thorough understanding of surgical instruments and their proper usage.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to facilitate effective collaboration with surgical staff.
